    Not well. I used to have a distinguished engineer that liked my work and took me on as a mentee. He seemed to have sway at keeping me "well fed" and recognized for my work. He has left, and I don't get much of the career growth help now.

    It is a combination of function delivered and bugs found. We track metrics and compare to peers. The best are rewarded, bullshit gets you no where.
