Pearson Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Package wise Pearson is a good company..no issue.

My annual Bonus is great

The extras beyond the salary

Very good compensation, raises, and bonuses. Great benefits.

The pay is good and the benefits are great.

The insurance is good. I feel like the benefits package is good, but I haven't explored it as much as I should.

Generous paid time off policy.

Being paid was the only benefit

the salary is competitive, bonus and LTIP are excellent

Health insurance, bonus plan, educational opportunities

Strong rewards and incentives in place

I have 6 weeks vacation.

vacation time and personal time off

Pearson cares about its employees

The PTO is the BEST!

My PTO is wonderful. But this is not enough to keep me here. I have almost obtained my grad degree and am still paid less than $21 an hour.

The time off and the company pays for higher education.

the vacation package and sick days

The benefits are pretty good

16 weeks paid parental leave among other things

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

More opportunties to progress. Clear expectations. Decisions based on data rather than favoritism

Recently, Pearson has not been rehiring design positions that are vacant from coworkers being fired or leaving on their own. We are doing more for the same amount, and the annual Cost of living raises do not match inflation or our output.

Pay is abysmal at Pearson and it's very commonplace for a new hire to come into the business making more than the person they're working alongside/replacing.

Review from IT Dept

Honesty on part of management

Even when my division outperformed our 2021 goals, everyone only got a 3% raise - even when the market advanced 7%.

attitudes from team vary from acknowledgement of ability to totalignoring

The work is unjustly divided and thankless. We got a cheesy Christmas gift and then we are told before the holidays we may be laid off. We are underpaid compared to our competitors.

Review from Marketing Dept

I make $18 per hour.

Pearson should do an equity pay gap reporting

I would feel better if we had a significant raise. We have decades of experience and are working to help score teacher licensure tests. The compensation is not adequate.

Lack of qualified people working there.

Review from IT Dept

Management doesn’t care about employee’s health. Would rather be paid a fair amount for the work I do and not be forced to do manda

Review from Product Dept

I am paid less than people in positions junior to mine. I was told by a former manager what a person coming into my position would be offered. When I sought an adjustment, I was told it couldn't be done. It makes no sense that they can find the money for a new hire, but not to keep loyal employees.

Review from Product Dept

I do bookkeeping and small accounting at my job. In the state of NC bookkeepers start of a pay at $15 hourly. I am only making $10 currently. On top of all my daily duties that I do I feel like I am being underpaid.

Review from Sales Dept

Entry level is for very low pay. I wish education was valued higher.

Review from Sales Dept

Other companies (smaller companies) pay much better for the same work.
