Pearson Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Omar’s background is interesting though I would have expected more humane valu

There are some that believe in the mission

My manager being a good person is the only reason I'm still here.

The leadership team is committed to seeing Pearson grow, have wordly impact and be successful.

Overall a good team , but laidback.

Great people to work with

The leadership at Pearson is so supportive. They have created a positive working environment of which I am grateful to be a part.

They are understanding so far.

Leaders at this company always take the initiative.

They are highly professional and energetic

friendly most of the time

Open minded and creative solutionists

They are incredibly supportive and helpful

They are well organized and review all perspectives

Lots of changes at vompany

They are open and transparent where they can be

The ability to own my own career progression

Open and transparent with us

My leadership team is friendly.

My manager is new this year. She does not micromanage and puts students and families first. Our leadership team is there to support us. If they do not know the answer, they will ask elsewhere.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Be consistent and stick to the decisions you have made over time so that they can bear fruit.

Communication. Care about employees more.

Advocating for staff and students, ensuring that staff and students have what they need to be successful, and finding efficient ways to provide us with the pay that we need to survive

Following values and acting with integrity.

Everything. From the top down to an executive team that has driven the business into the ground, but lays off staff at the bottom instead of leaders who fail to perform.

Planning and executing to the plan. Stop infighting across teams.

The continual release and hiring of new inexperienced executives along with their horrific values, leads to failure. No stability in this company due to the leaders have no idea how to run a business.

Transparency in key objectives and distributing work evenly among employees. They burn out the good ones by not backfilling key positions

Quit picking favorites based on employees who either look like you or only tell you what you want to hear.

Review from Operations Dept

Everything as they are not from higher ed.

Review from Marketing Dept

Priorities and learning to have more stability. The team pivots way too much. They provide little to no personal professional development time and if they do it is very lackluster. Also, communication is not transparent and takes time to trickle down from the upper echelon on the leadership team.

Helping their subordinates to grow professionally and not just provide lip service.

Realizing there are humans working here.

Maintaining positive work-life balance of employees. Hiring adequate amount of staff.

Review from Product Dept

Stop with the random reorgs that sometimes happen multiple times per year. The most recent change is ineffective and illogical.

Review from Product Dept

Reduce the number of leadership task to do similar work.

Review from IT Dept

giving recognition to those that are beneath them because without the ones at the bottom, the top do not succeed.

Review from Operations Dept

Employee relations and fiscal accomplishment.
