Petco Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Insurance options are flexible and you have a lot of choices

I love all parts equally

Great medical coverage for the price

My compensation is poor. The only good part is the possibility of earning commission.

There's nothing to brag about.

The hourly wage that I had to beg for since I was making under $10/hr for the first 6 years.

My hourly wage that I had to beg for since I made under $10/hour for the first 6 years I worked for them

Stock options, ESP, and bonus

Insurance is available right away when you start

Health dental vision 401k pto

Paid well and get stocks

having healthcare benefits is amazing

Healthcare, Prescription Prices, Discounts, Services

I finally was able to get PTO at the end of last year after being with them for two, that's basically it.

The bonus is based on overall company performance.

The bonus and stock options

I really don't know at all

PTO policies and adequate insurance

Review from Sales Dept

Health benefits and the 401k

Vacation time is a wonderful benefit

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My store is really rough. Basically starting over with no one whos been there for longer than 6 months. Im the animal care person, only job is to care for animals. I had to stand up for the snakes who all (17) had mites when i started. I'm the only reason why they got treated. Made my manager let me

Was made to feel undervalued and alienated by manager despite proving to exceed all goals during my time with the company

Better recognition in place would be good

Long time employees are still being paid below the new salary guidelines they introduced. They will not bring leaders up to minimum starting point but someone off the street can make up to 30% more

Pay is extremely low. Would make more being hired off street

If i actually recieved it. Ive been at petco for the past 4 years now. Our ac went out last year of july 2022 and was just now gixed of august 2023. We asked to be conpensated for shutting the salon down earlier because after a certain time it would be too hot so we lost out on money for ourselves

Have to choose between a home or medical. That's self explanatory.

To be paid above the mid pay for my pay scale because I know I perform above average at my job.

They were supposed to send me to academy a whole year ago but they haven't. I'm getting paid 11 an hr and the new bather they were going to fast track to academy and she's getting paid 15. I believe I'm still counted as part time she's counted as full time.

Was told raise would be considered 6 months following acceptance of a low ball offer, years later supervisor wont even discuss any increases or titles

Review from Operations Dept

If I was paid fairly and compensated for my time with the company

They don't pay well and the CEO makes like 6 million a year

I have done every single job in the store, including acting GM. It is a lot of work carrying a team, catering to their needs as well as meeting animal, operation and metric requirements. I love my store, however I am not fairly compensated along with others for the amount of workload put in.

Fair pay. Most all team members work very hard but make very little. Even today after COVID and all this inflation, high fuel prices they still pay you very little. Do you see how much they sale there products for, they are making a very big profit.

Performance review for a pay increase for groomers and bathers

Being appreciated verbally or otherwise

Review from Sales Dept

New hires in the lowest position in the store are making what I made last year as a veteran store manager with 8 years of experience. Why are you not increasing the wages of the leaders/managers who have been keeping the stores running on fumes for the last three years?

Higher pay rate and, bounses

With the cost of living and the amount of knowledge staff is required to have the pay needs to be higher. Pay better wages.

I do a lot more than what i was hired for and im not getting paid enough
