How often do employees get raises at PNC?
All I'm going to say is, don't hold your breath! And if by the luck of the draw you happen to get a raise, don't expect much.
What is PNC's internship program like?
They don't have one
What kind of people does PNC like to hire?
Pretty much anybody. My colleague got the job with ONE phone interview.
How long do you have to be in current position before posting for a different position?
1 year minimum and have a perfect evaluation to be considered
How are the healthcare options at PNC?
Fairly standard. Two healthcare companies in your market are available to choose. From there you pick one of two high deductible health plans. Working spouse contribution applies if your spouse works at a company that offers health care but is added to your healthcare benefits.
How do you feel about PNC's future?
I am waiting for them to go bankrupt after their customers or an employee has enough evidence to be able to successfully sue them for any number of violations, but as corrupt as everything is nowadays, they'll probably grow.
What's the vibe like in the Customer Support dept at PNC? How many hours are you working?
It depends on the day, but mostly frustration, and I work more than 40 hours most weeks.

What team?! If you mean each team with a different Lead, they are always trying to pit each one against the others to "motivate" ha ha.

Liars, corporate ladder climbers that just want you to get your numbers better so they look better.

Be positive and push your customer service skills, also, be confident and smile.

Business casual, nice clothes but doesn't have to be super dressed up.

What's a situation you were in with customer service where the customer was angry and upset and how did you handle it?
How flexible is your work schedule at PNC?
They said it would be really flexible and could be tailored to fit my life, but when it comes down to it, they didn't want to accommodate someone who was pregnant and could work only certain hours, they wouldn't accommodate a person going to school and you have certain times and days you can pick from and nothing else.... so, not so flexible as they make it sound!
What are you most excited about working at PNC?
The work is very interesting and highly technical.
How do you feel about going to work at PNC everyday?
I love it.

Self motivated highly technical people.
What's the pay like for Engineering roles at PNC?
PNC pay or salary is good for new hires, you have to get what you can coming in the door because raises after that are very small, but bonuses helps supplement it.
What's the vibe like in the Engineering dept at PNC? How many hours are you working?
Work life balance is excellent. Work from home is available to those who prove they are deserving through their work.
What's the Engineering team like at PNC?
Individual engineering teams do all the design and development, they are the true architects for their applications. The architect groups don’t architect, they just seem to act as “red tape”, figure heads or “rubber stampers” at best.
How's the leadership on the Engineering team at PNC?
Current PNC leadership is what is holding this company back. They tend to bring in a lot of outsiders in who mostly use the company as a springboard to get better jobs at other companies.

What's the office vibe like at PNC?
PNC is in the process of moving Digital and all of our agile team members to a free address structure. Honestly, I love the vibe on the new agile floors. Very open, lots of light, new kitchens, plenty of different collaboration spaces. It's a really great improvement.
What are your coworkers at PNC like?
My department is made up with product managers (primarily) but also UX Designers, some Developers and Management staff (many of whom wear more than one hat). My Digital peers are great - very hardworking and as our team has grown we have been all intentionally developed into managers. Where challenges come into play is with the folks who we work for within the company-mainly the tradition business line product teams. Some of these folks have been engaged with Digital for a while, but some have only started to consider how their products show up digitally. Some (not all) can tend to be rude, resistant to change, ignorant of how Digital should fit into their overall business plan and defensive of getting help from the retail Digital team. It's a tough environment to keep design and product management staff members engaged on a day to day basis to complete necessary and critical digital transformation.
