Poly CEO Joe Burton Bio

Joe Burton has held various executive positions at both Polycom and Plantronics since 2010. In 2016 he became President and CEO of Plantronics, and continued in those roles when the two companies merged to form Poly in March 2019. He also serves on Poly’s Board of Directors.

Prior to Plantronics, Burton worked at Cisco and Active Voice covering a variety of engineering, product-development and SaaS leadership roles.

Burton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Excelsior College, and attended the Stanford Executive Program. He is an executive board member of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group; a member of the Board of Directors for Dominican Hospital Foundation in Santa Cruz, California; a board member of the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership; and a member of the UC Santa Cruz Baskin School of Engineering Dean's Council.
