My company is still operating under the Good Ol' Boys network, meaning they promote based on personal agendas and who knows who. It doesn't matter how qualified you are for a job, you won't get it unless the upper management decides it fits into their overall plan.

I felt comfortable with both individuals conducting the interview

Just that! We are a "Team". We'really all on board together, win or lose.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
My company has excellent health, eye and dental insurance and our retirement / thrift savings are matched up to 4%.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am happy when I help customers find the answers they need from finding packages they ordered to helping them change their address.
What would you most like to see improved at your company?
I would like to see more on-the-job training for new Postmasters which covers every aspectacular of their daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly.
What do you like best about your company?
I like that we are the oldest mail delivery system in the US and we are the only government program which uses zero tax dollars.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
A little more helping each other and a little less judgment when mistakes are made by poorly trained people who were thrown cold into unfamiliar job duties.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We are a small office in a small town and we feel a family kinship in everything we do. Every employee under my supervision has voluntarily stepped up to help their co-workers.
