Blake put a software sales guy in as CRO and he has decided to eliminate the majority of the sales group with the incorrect opinion that the Authorized A-B didtributors are market makers. They will continue to lose market share until theyre sold. Revenues will continue to drop year-over-year

  • Out of a 10 year career, 6-7 years was the best work decision I’ve made, the rest absolute hell because of drawing a straw and landing in a business unit with an incompetent, micromanaging, stuck in the 50’s management style manager who’s great at driving out our best talent - veterans and new blood alike

  • People who are good at politics and process, people who can go after opportunities when they see them and people who work autonomously and don’t expect help/hand outs to get up to speed - can be very cut throat in some departments

  • Very little - it’s a company always in flux and change, and while there’s a significant focus on your individual performance when a reduction in force happens, anything goes - poor performers go first but it comes down to numbers, in my 10 years have seen more than my fair share of really great engineers get the boot - could come down to whether a boss likes you in those situations

  • Annually you’re reviewed for potential raise which is based off your performance review but overall if the companies performance hasn’t met KPI’s then always potential for no raises for below executive level

  • Depends on what business unit you work in, some in my past I wished I could have worked in until retirement but the culture discourages staying in one place for too long - then you can wind up under leadership, as I am now, that makes work life literally hellish. Try to do homework on unit before pulling trigger
