  • Maybe 1% annually; not enough to cover benefits cuts; expect no employee review.

  • You get your annual performance bump and that's it.

  • Annual PR and it hits your paycheck in April. It may be next to nothing and may not cover the cost of your benefit out of pocket rise that start Jan. 1

  • The company is on a fast trajectory downhill. All they care about is the bottom line. The past 5 years have been 5 strong years of benefits cuts, low to no raises, no educational assistance, low/few training opportunities. Many folks are leaving to greener pastures.

  • Our company is based on providing expertise and they are cutting all incentives to attract new experts or retain existing experts. Definitely on the decline.

  • It's on the decline.

  • People are just going through the motions of participating, but nobody cares.

  • Lunch for special occasions, and a Christmas Party.

  • Connectedness is broken. They won't even forward your email to you if you sit at a customer site. Team outings disappeared (at least for my organization) several years ago.

  • Focus less on culture and spend some money to take care of the employees. Culture would improve if we were compensated more in line with our competitors rather than our "market peers."

  • Better benefits. It was better this year but I still don't feel like it is like it was when I started or that we are competitive with other defense contractors.

  • Focus on getting things done efficiently, and not band-aid fixes to everything.

  • No longer good. The past 5 years of benefit cuts, and cheap Gov contract wins mean less people on projects, declining morale, and poor customer service.

  • Average

  • They keep cutting the benefits that get us to show up to work. They won't reimburse excess leave balance anymore, and more recently they won't pay us for the first 5 hours of overtime. So work life balance is improving but not intensionally

  • It was improving, but now its dropping drastically. My manager expects us to be on Skype at least 10 hours per day; answer late night emails etc.

  • They act like they're doing you a favor, but they don't pay anything towards your internet. Basically by having you work at home they're saving the cost of your office space & don't share the savings with you.

  • Not very flexible. I used to be able to work flexible hours - as long as the work was done to high standards. Now its 8:00 AM to usually 6:00 PM - no overtime or recording of hours over 40 are encouraged even though you wont be paid for over 40 regardless if worked.

  • We have a pretty flexible work schedule at SAIC. Most employees within IT work at least 1 day a week from home and they are very flexible on the arrival and departure times, with some people coming in as early as 7AM and others not until 8:30 or 9AM.
