Overall it's fine. You meet good people but you also meet some not so good ones. Sometimes you're scared for your safety and when you bring it up to management they play it off as no big deal because it's what you signed up for

People are friendly and are most times willing to help out

Better pay and more serious management when it comes to the safety of their employees
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication between management and supervisors severely lacks. Getting a straight answer from a superior as a guard is difficult. Having someone relieve you from your post seems to be an ongoing issue
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The level of work compared to pay is lacking. To be trusted with securing persons and property is a big deal and employees should be paid accordingly. Security should be making more than minimum wage and they shouldn't have to continuously ask about their benefits
