Expectations are clear, but feedback is ignored per usual.
Positivity and commitment. Most of them really care about their company and the community.
The Nurse Executive at Sentara Leigh is a motivational leader. She has kept our hospital staff informed. I love working at Sentara Leigh.
not yell at employees in front of other staff members or in front of patients coming in to be registered or in the emergency room they need to have at least one person to do the training. to have four or five people train you when they all do it a different way is not good training

Having the abulity to be pad by the company for holidays rather than taking my personal time off to cover holidays.
No special recognition for going over and above. I believe an employee always should give a little more than you get back. However, it's hard when your employer doesn't even give an "atta Boy"
Wore too many hats in one role with lack of training and leadership support.
Because Sentara Healthcare does not value their employees.

Having an understanding that it takes at least a year to acclaimate to the culture and to ascertam who is who in the organization.

In a nonprofit hospital, much of the profit is given to administrators as a bonus, for meeting certain goals. Administrators should work for salary only, staff should get bonus money, and money spent to improve staffing ratios, not line the pockets of administrators.
Having the right people at the mid-levels. People who value performance over politics.
Slow the pace so we can focus on our patients

making Supervisor, Leeds, coworkers to remain professional, not sit behind a person registering a patient on their phone and eating when they were a lead person and when a lead person yells at you in front of people, that's very unprofessional
Old poor practices are not given up for modern, industry accepted standards for fear of change and discomfort.

Money needs to be spent on safe staffing ratios and increase ancillary staff.
