Smashburger Outlook Employee Reviews

What makes you most happy at work?

Coming in happy greeting every one

The crewmebers and making food for people

Getting to work with a select few of my coworkers

my coworkers are the only positive about the job

My coworkers and the consistency

The fast pace and I enjoy the event side of the business

Review from Customer Success Dept

Being with my co-workers and being able to manage the team

Cleaning after a rush, and being able to make my own meal

Getting my work done by having preparation of food and ready for next shift to get their day run smoother so our time is more faster. In other words so the customers don't have to wait long for their meal.

Grill master art of cooking.

When we are busy during rush periods and slow during slow periods. I prepare that way so it is frustrating when we have rushes when it is supposed to be slow

To come to work and my manager is not ahowing favoritism

When no customers come in right before close

I love to keep myself busy and meet knew people

Inlove the job and i love to work

Being out of the house and making money

Review from Operations Dept

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

They do not care about he customer or quality, just a paycheck.

Start caring about their employees and the management teams.

Review from Customer Success Dept

No repercussions for inexcusable behavior/ actions. Upper level management makes it near impossible to fire insubordinate/ incompetent employees

Employees working off clock to meet corporate labor %. Only improvement is to terminate managers who allow AND direct employees to work off the clock. Same for supervisors who access the payroll and shave hours off employees hours worked in a day.

Review from Sales Dept

Customers often wait 30-60mins for their orders during peak hours.

Proper management that doesnt avoid their duties or violate rules

The only thing I don’t love is that the raises seem to be sort of haphazard and random, instead of having specific clear steps

Were short staffed. I have no employees on my ahift. My GM will have all the good employees, and plenty of them on their shift. Theres never prep done for my shifts. The GM lets her employees who is also a friend and former coworker, talk to people however without consequence. Need a new GM

More labor hours for the workers

Communication is bad and thwy should work on that

Review from Sales Dept

Management needs to manage and not play mental games with there employees

Needed more people to work there

Management needs to actually care, those who have no restaurant industry experience can’t effectively lead a restaurant by themselv

Review from Operations Dept

the general manager at the westerville location expects 1-2 people to be able to run the kitchen all day when our projected sales are 42-4500. he talks bad behind his employees backs, yet refuses to have any constructive dialogue. what he says is typically unfounded as well

Review from Operations Dept

Mean people cannot change. It is disappointing
