The managers are unprofessional, the wages are poor, and the turnover rates are high. I wouldn't recommend.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Everything. Throw out all the managers, supervisors, and dead weight because they're useless. Implement better standards. Establish a decorum. Hold them accountable.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The people's there are nurturing and know what it's like to be in your shoes. They make up for what the managers don't.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Being leaders over being friends with employees. They think by being "kind" or "nice" will obscure the fact they don't problem solve, or strive for a productive work environment.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I make $11.63 an hour and they seem to think that means being pimped out for tasks other than my own in the department. Just like you wouldn't go a car garage for an oil change or change of tires without paying for both, they want me to be a one woman show without giving me more money.
