Communicating the same message down through their orgs.
Review from Engineering Dept
Be more proactive on business and engineering strategy rather than reactive.
Review from Engineering Dept
Having and adhering to meaningful business ethics, or at least being able to plan, coordinate, and actually follow through on anything.
Review from Engineering Dept
Take responsibility for specific goals, objectives and KRs. Invest more in research and development. Support more long-term thinking and work not rooted in short term KRs.

Salary and comp sites are great
Review from Engineering Dept
Equity grants and a combination of additional benefits.
Review from Engineering Dept
Compensation is competitive thus far, we'll se what the private equity package looks like
Review from Engineering Dept
The equity packages and coverflex monthly benefits allowance
Review from Engineering Dept
the equity portion of the package
Review from Engineering Dept
Salary is ok there's is a lacking of paying annual bonus
Review from Engineering Dept
I was lied to about my equity compensation and no one will take accountability or make it right despite my repeated attempts. Being made whole, and accountability for the people who lied and refuse to take accountability, would make me feel better
Review from Engineering Dept
I'm don't feel undervalued. I entered as a mid frontend developer, and it was fare, but I'm seeing my colleagues enter with the same level as me and need help to code and still lots to learn that for the position it should be assumed to have. But yeah as MID I think the salary should be more higher
Review from Engineering Dept
My base salary is lower than I'd expect even after promotion
Review from Engineering Dept
Have been performing a role that is above my level for a couple of years. Besides that, I am aware that my starting compensation is below average (and within the company), which then contributed to a slower growth than average, regardless of performance.
Review from Engineering Dept
Everyone is actually really nice and honest.
Review from Engineering Dept
Nice environment always willing to help each other
Review from Engineering Dept
They're extremely smart, extremely passionate about the work we are doing and fairly assess every opinion
Review from Engineering Dept
Team is very collaborative and technically knowledgable.
Review from Engineering Dept
Everyone on my team is vested into the team's success. We are transparent and honest with eachother
Review from Engineering Dept
Product management often literally ignores communication with my team. As in, literally refuses to respond to basic questions. Engineering leaders often focus solely on V6 and core business use cases, leaving other teams to fend for themselves without any support. Teams ignore roadmap commitments.
Review from Engineering Dept
I really believe people are very honest, and it results in a healthy attitude to address problems sooner. People are comfortable giving feedback.
Review from Engineering Dept
Always keep to improve the project with new ideias
Review from Engineering Dept
Good product vision and collaborative, friendly work environment.
Review from Engineering Dept
I enjoy meeting everyone I have met so far, we have people who understand their roles and how they can help
Review from Engineering Dept
Everyone is very supportive and seem honestly happy and driven to be working at Squarespace
Review from Engineering Dept
Maybe don't do things that make everyone want to leave all at once
Review from Engineering Dept
I'd start by seriously reviewing the company's stance regarding WFH. Employees lost free lunches, breakfast, snacks, drinks and we have to battle to obtain somewhat decent hardware to do our work in safe conditions. I believe that good posture is part of "safe conditions".
Review from Engineering Dept
Rewards and compensation need a huge revamp first. Teams need to be given clarity over what outcomes matter and then given autonomy to make it happen, and the Empowered team model is not an answer for that. Culture needs to emphasize hustle and delivery, not bureaucracy and work / life balance.

Fire the CEO and CMO.
Review from Engineering Dept
There seems to be a specific dollar amount on our "woke" culture, and it can be thrown out for the right amount of money or exposure -- witness continuing to support Joe Rogan
Review from Engineering Dept
Lack of rewards / no path to significant compensation growth on an annual basis. Lack of clarity or empowerment to focus on important work. Lack of incentives to retain good people. Too much celebration of mediocrity.
