Sterling Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Package is good which is provided to me

Comprehensive, able to manage home expenses

The overa package is very fair

Solid base pay, with bonus opportunity based on performance. Would be great to see some private options to improve longer-term retention.

Review from Product Dept

Benefits, including 401K begin on the 1st of the month from when you started.

This company matches the best, of any company I have worked for.

Review from Sales Dept

I appreciate the retirement match. The generous PTO is nice, but I never use it.

Review from Operations Dept

It's competitive and commensurate with my skillset and experience level.

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel like my financial compensation is pretty fair and that my medical and dental benefits are vey good.

Paid parental leave option is great.

Review from Engineering Dept

Sterling listens and responds to feedback concerning our benefits package.

Review from Sales Dept

Pay is good, medical and dental is solid, and there is a 401k match.

Review from Engineering Dept

It's not great, but probably fine

Review from Product Dept

The salary is very competitive as well as paid time off.

Review from Marketing Dept

Sterling pays me regularly and on time..

Review from Engineering Dept

Competitive salary and bonus opportunities tied to individual and group performance.

Review from Marketing Dept

I think the benefits are good and quite affordable for the coverage they provide. I am quite happy with the health/dental/vision benefits; However, I do feel our team is underpaid for the complexity of the work we do - not significantly underpaid, but underpaid all the same.

Review from Product Dept

Base package, bonus and benefits

Review from Engineering Dept

I think that it is equitable

Review from Engineering Dept

401K match, Vacation/PTO package. Paid Volunteering day

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Workload is more targets are set higher and increased a lot in bit time but salary same as old very less.

I would feel more compensation was added, but with time it would be good

I think we need market comparative salary

Review from Engineering Dept

Previous leaders were not aligned with the new culture at Sterling and unfortunately, I was a casualty. I spent nearly 2 yrs in an inequitable position where my title and pay did not commensurate my responsibilities. Acknowledgment of the inequity by changing pay and title would have shown value.

Review from Executive Dept

No investment to keep good employees, other companies offer better pay/benefits.

Review from Finance Dept

there is no investment in employees

Review from Finance Dept

I do not earn enough to cover the expenses of available benefits, nor are there any incentives/bonuses available to my department.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Too many changes year to year to healthcare options and cost. Salaries can lag the market.

Review from Engineering Dept

I'm a woman so I assume I'm undervalued.

Review from Engineering Dept

I have been able to cultivate a relationship with a partner company, that 3 people before me have not been able to. I also take on 2 other teams work on top of my own

Review from Operations Dept

I realize that the pandemic caused a halt to merit increases, but I don't agree with the decision to halt them indefinitely, and to not consider retrograde. There were countless hours of dedication and hard work ahead of COVID, and to miss out of compensation, while cutting costs, everywhere, hurts.

I wish I could make enough to survie as and not need to have a roomate or second job to make things balance out. If I - at a manager's salaried rate - can't do that, how are my minimum wage hourly employees going to do it? I wish that the company would pay more into the health benefits also.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I believe I am currently underpaid for my position and responsibilities.

Review from Product Dept

We are paid at a fair market value, nevertheless, the bonus structure for my department is not fair compared with our responsibilities

Review from Customer Support Dept

Our health care benefits are sub-par specifically family and prescription coverage/cost
