The leadership team is improving! The addition of Anita has been an incredible boost to effectiveness, morale, strategy and craft for the Design team. Generally, it seems like the leadership team is trying to increase alignment and clarity (even when it's clear that's challenging in this season).

Above average salary and the best benefits of any company I've seen. Outside of the basic medical/dental, Strava offers fertility and legal support which are an uncommon and great addition.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
As a non-engineer I know I don't make as much as an Eng Manager who has less career and management experience.

What are some of the best things about your team?
The Copy team is an amazing crew of diverse, talented, hard working people who truly care about the brand, the product and each other. We keep morale high, stay flexible, and deliver excellent work. We practice radical candor and have tons of trust. We have strong leadership and development tracks.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Giving and receiving kind feedback needs a ton of work. We have too much backchanneling and "niceness" where people don't voice what they think to the appropriate parties. Further, maturity in product decision making needs a ton of work and connecting to what's valueable for the athlete.

For the most part, there are no egos and everyone is willing to hear each other out.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
It's kind of chaotic, and priorities shift a lot. The design team is asked to do way too much at a given time and therefore we're always playing catchup or unable to focus on anything and give it the quality thought it deserves.
