I'm grateful to work at Strava and I often feel lucky that this is what I get to do and these are the people I get to be surrounded by. Strava's wonderful. Sometimes our leadership is a little bit defensive or all over the place with their ideas, but it's great in every other way.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They're thoughtful, intelligent, intentional and creative. They work incredibly hard but they're still human.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The equity package. I've gotten more each year (after promotions) and it's adding up. I think it'll really pay off once we IPO.
What makes you most happy at work?
I get to work on really cool stuff. And I have an awesome team. The combo of great work and great team is pretty unbeatable.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our leadership team cares about the people who work here. This isn't a regular company, it's a special one, and I think our leaders know that.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
People become friends here. I never used to have friends at work. Now I look forward to seeing people in the office (or on Zoom) and hanging out.
