The flexibility in my work hours/schedule is key because I have a daughter in elementary school that can have unpredictable schedules. The unlimited PTO is great, but only because of the willingness of my supervisor and leadership team to support me taking time off.
Health coverage costs are good
I love being employee owned. Benefits are designed with what's best for employees.

Salary plus bonus recognition for my work.
Flexible work schedule, our cancer expert now coverage, variety of medical plans to choose from.
Review from HR Dept
discretionary performance bonus paid annually

the best part is the wellness time, flexible hours, and the ESOP
I love that SWCA is an employee-owned organization, and I look forward to the point where I can join ownership in the company. I also appreciate the healthcare plan and the support SWCA offers for furthering education and scholarly work.
Th salary is very competitive.
It is fantastic, best I've had so far as far as ease of use, coverage and the cost is a fair price. I feel I pay the same as previous packages but get better coverage, very happy with it.
ESOP and 401K, that is if it survives under this new administration.
Aetna health insurance is much better than Cigna.
That I do not have to think much about it.
Review from IT Dept
I appreciated the field gear allowance.
Health insurance choices and Esop.
The competitively priced health care packages and EAP benefits.
Review from Marketing Dept
Schedule flexibility is a big one. I appreciate the availability of Gives Back hours to spend on volunteer opportunities. I'm finally starting to see the value of the ESOP.
the money, the loot, the cash, the dough. and the funds
The low cost of insurance.
to be determined at a later date
My pay is below average for my skillset and experience in the industry and area. I would feel better if the company was better at allowing training and continuing education. This is often discouraged from a cost perspective from leadership and executive teams.
Our salaries (specifically for planners) are below comparable positions of our competitors. Health insurance is good, but doesn't cover as much compared to other plans.
I'm told other companies pay more for similar roles.
Review from Operations Dept
increase pay to better keep up with inflation
The standard "merit" increases seem lower than then bare minimum. Many employees are told they are doing exceptional work and then get a 1-2% raise- that does not seem accurate for "exceptional" work.
Compared to other environmental consultant firms, I have seen that hourly employees are paid less. Additionally employees can't access the ESOP benefits until 2 years after hiring.
More compensation. Less need for extra hours to meet crazy deadlines.
I feel like many staff are not compensated fairly for going above and beyond their expected duties, especially salaried staff taking on heavier workloads or longer hours. I have not noticed any new significant improvements to existing benefits since starting with SWCA.
I've been at the same title for 3 years with increasing amounts of responsibilities, yet I need to "prove" this to my executive leadership team. I'd feel better if my contributions were actually recognized by my directors and I did not have to advocate for myself.
With 15 years experience and 6 at SWCA, I only get paid $10/hr more than an intern doing a summer job
I feel as though I am doing most of the staff 2 tasks, but I am not at the highest pay rate for staff 2
Not what was described in job description and interview. Vastly much more work than described. Not always clear on processes.
Review from Admin Dept
Compensation is low across the board, I'm leaving on Friday for a 20% raise at another firm
Review from Engineering Dept
an increase. Cost of living increases
Review from Marketing Dept
Benefits compared to other companies are more expensive.
Review from Marketing Dept
No room for growth to put one in a better position to get better compensations.
Review from Customer Support Dept
It would help to be able to negotiate raises or slight increases in hourly wages per year (to compensate for cost of living) more often.
Being paid a livable wage, having a retirement plan that was actually valuable for non managers
I believe i take on more work than my position and am not adequately compensated for that effort.
Current salary is below average compared to average market conditions in my area.
