Out of 2665 SWCA employee reviews, 96% were positive. The remaining 4% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping SWCA improve their work culture.
My immediate leadership team (Sr. Director supervisor and VP) seem to be sincerely invested in the company and staff. I feel comfortable going to them with questions and concerns. The higher-level leadership team (up to the CEO) seem to care about the people as well as the numbers.
Lots of communication, approachable, transparent
They are very approachable. I can always reach out.
Review from Marketing Dept
Their trust in my ability to execute a high level for our clients and not micro-manage my workflow.
How supportive and available they are.
Review from HR Dept
Ensuring that project level employees have enough hours to remain full time since we can not work outside of the company
Consolidate and pay us more money
Clueless on workload, low skilled, young and inexperienced
Review from Engineering Dept
Leadership is out of touch with what's wrong around here. I'm tired of seeing all these initiatives that go nowhere. It's annoying having to track my work in 3-4 trackers because new leadership has new ideas to help us track work. Our tech to do our jobs is cheap because of cost causing more issues.
Listening to what mid and lower tier employees have to say about their experiences
The flexibility in my work hours/schedule is key because I have a daughter in elementary school that can have unpredictable schedules. The unlimited PTO is great, but only because of the willingness of my supervisor and leadership team to support me taking time off.
Health coverage costs are good
I love being employee owned. Benefits are designed with what's best for employees.
Review from Marketing Dept
Salary plus bonus recognition for my work.
Flexible work schedule, our cancer expert now coverage, variety of medical plans to choose from.
Review from HR Dept
My pay is below average for my skillset and experience in the industry and area. I would feel better if the company was better at allowing training and continuing education. This is often discouraged from a cost perspective from leadership and executive teams.
Our salaries (specifically for planners) are below comparable positions of our competitors. Health insurance is good, but doesn't cover as much compared to other plans.
I'm told other companies pay more for similar roles.
Review from Operations Dept
increase pay to better keep up with inflation
The standard "merit" increases seem lower than then bare minimum. Many employees are told they are doing exceptional work and then get a 1-2% raise- that does not seem accurate for "exceptional" work.
Their willingness to collaborate, consider my opinions, and offer their own. I appreciate when others provide alternative viewpoints that I didn't otherwise consider.
Our personalities click, we recognize each other's strengths and weaknesses and work well as a team.
Everyone is very supportive of one another.
Review from Marketing Dept
Open communication and positive attitudes.
The closeness of the goup and how we all look after one another
Review from Admin Dept
I have noticed a trend toward employees at the field level matter the position not respecting other peoples opinions or approaches
My coworkers in particular provide unnecessary criticism when they are stressed out.
A fully remote model poses may challenges to communication that I don't think SWCA has been able to fully overcome. It has created a lack of cohesiveness and comradery that leaves you feeling like its every man for himself instead of a group of people working together to accomplish a common goal.
Many of the co-workers i worked closely with in the psst have left SWCA. I don't feel the connevtion that i omce had
I never really interact with many of my coworkers so it sort of feels like I am on an island
Review from Operations Dept
Caring for others, collaborating, and forming a community where we can rely on each other. When I am out, I trust that others are taking care of my clients and projects.
The culture is about culture. The company tries hard to make sure we're a place where everyone is included and feels happy to be here.
The company is very employee-centered.
Review from Marketing Dept
Focus on maintaining a solid commitment to DEI initiatives despite a regressive political climate on the outside.
We like to celebrate our employees and call out their accomplishments in team meetings, or company posts on our intranet.
Review from HR Dept
Better pay would boost morale.
That it was personable and long. My interviewers not only interviewed me, but they also allowed me to interview them
Review from Finance Dept
ability to connect with leaders across the business
Review from Marketing Dept
It was straightforward and not intimidating.
Review from Executive Dept
The interview process was long, but I felt like my future team really took the time to know me.
Review from Marketing Dept
I was given plenty of time and opportunity to ask questions of my interviews to help me better understand the role I was interviewing for and make an informed career decision.
Review from HR Dept
Be more transparent about your company, advancement opportunities, pay scales.
Review from Product Dept
Learning new things from my colleagues and completing complicated projects.
Learning new skills and problem solving.
Working on projects important to my community.
Being challenged to build new things.
Review from Marketing Dept
Collaborating with our clients to produce results that achieve their goals and being recognized for my efforts by them and my manager.
Its largely making sure full time employees have at least 40 hours and do not have to use pto to cover their hours to ensure 40.
Pay us more money please
Too many really good prople have left
The C suite thinks that they understand their employees but really they just have their heads in the sand.
Morale on my team right now is low, and it is showing. Its taking a toll on everyone. More investment in the people will help reignite their passion and excitement for work. We also need to find ways to engage with eachother and rebuild our teamwork
Access to individuals with technical expertise.
Review from Product Dept
Pay equity and transparency. Growth opportunities.
