Not good from the beginning. This company hires and fires with no remorse. Everyone is afraid of getting close and being themselves. It is lonely and sad. They also do not respect diversity or sustainability. I feel out of place because I am not a white male republican.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
More social interaction in non-work pressured environments like happy hours or even a short luncheon while at work. Actually get to know them so I don't feel like I have to pretend to be someone else when I work with anyone at this company.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
let people work from home if they prove to be just as productive as they are in office. Host more events for young new hires to make them feel acknowledged. It would have been nice if someone I didn't know reached out to me personally and recognized my existence at this company.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Encourage people to actually have conversations that aren't about work all the time. Maybe pay for some pizza for the team every now and then...make us laugh and make us feel like we are valuable. I have never felt so replaceable in my life. I can't be myself because I'm afraid of being judged.
