What is the best part about your compensation package?

4/10 work week with Fridays off. (although this has been slowly slipping, due to poor hiring practices, understaffing, and a clueless production team)

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

look at my previous responses. 300 characters is not enough to properly list all the flaws in our Textron Systems leadership from the Director level thru the CEO.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Culture is not the problem, incompetence of our product/process (or lack thereof) at the Director level and thru the CEO is. It is like saying Enron had a culture problem. . . . no, the core business model was flawed, and no amount of 'culture' could save it.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Understand the product we are producing. On the SSC program, most Director level people and up are clueless about fabrication and large assembly. Most are from other Txt BU's that only deal with assembly (not fabrication).They fail to understand core vs. context for this work. The facility is a joke

What are some of the best things about your team?

My direct manager has be one of the best I have worked for in my career, and is responsible for helping drive many of the improvements to the program. His role is not high enough to turn the program around, but it is a good start. If it was not for a great manager and good team, i would have left.
