I was hired as an individual contributor but my past leadership experience allowed me to advance very quickly.

Smooth transition from 20 years military - past experience was valued here. I was able to advance quickly from an IC role to a leadership one comparable with where I was when I left the military.

Making sure operations are smooth and effective.

Not cut throat - mutually supportive.

We are lagging the market in comp and therefore losing talent.

My boss is supportive and my team is energetic and engaged.

Base salary is modestly competitive - bur work environment is very good.

Very smart, dedicated, pro-military, and a good sense of humor to boot.

Very approachable people; they push the team hard but they are reasonable people.

Lot's of smart people who endeavor to to the right thing every day.

People are collegial and solution oriented. I have not encountered any petty politics.

People take ownership help others outside of their swim lanes at appropriate times.

Seeing new process or tools get rolled out that improve our ability to execute.

I am not micro-managed - I have a great deal of freedom on how to get my work done.

Pay is a little less than other defense contractors but the culture here is great so its worth the small gap.

Although we generally lag the industry in salary comp the environment and culture is very positive and there are plenty of opportunities to advance.
