Seeing friends, feeling accomplished; now I feel challenged in my new position after several years at a dead end position with horrible management; having a manager that believes in me and doesn't want to hold me back; being around people and feeling a sense of normalcy too.
I appreciate the supervisors, directors, and managers who have invested in me to see me succeed not only in my discipline, but also within the company. They set me up with tasks that showcase my skills, engage in continuous career conversations, and are actively helping me get to the next level.
I do like that we are like a family here. I have met some of my closest friends here at work and I enjoy activities outside of work with several co-workers. I also enjoy that there are ERGs to join for new people and happy hours to join for networking.
My current team is excellent--thank God! My past team was lazy and my supervisors were hiring incompetent people simply bc they met the salary reqs. This caused so many of us to take on double and triple work. Super frustrating, especially when we were all rated the same on PMPs.
I felt undervalued when I was doing the work of 3-5 people; asked for help and even a raise and my supervisor took months to tell me 'no.' I feel valued when I am paid more, if not the same amount as my co-workers. I know I'm a hard worker so telling me 'Good Job' is not enough.
