For a smaller defense company that makes cool products it is a shame to see their management style stuck in the 20th century. Employees are flocking to jobs where we are given the responsiblity to get our tasks done how and from where we are most comfortable. Retention is terrible
What are some of the best things about your team?
Good team, really the only positive thing about this place.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
The work environment is terrible. Limited remote flexibility for cube jobs, no windows, not with the times
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Remote work flexibility - simple, easy and will save overhead money. With covid over I'm afraid we will be taking a step back
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I commute a half hour each way 20x a month to do work I could easily accomplish at home--there are no windows and i sit under fluorescent lights for 10 hours a day like a lab rat, what do you mean 'what's wrong'?
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We simply don't get paid enough, we are a 3rd rate defense contractor expecting to recruit and retain top talent. That will not come with sub-competitive wages and no work flexibility. They end up retaining only those that are sub-par performers. No reward for going above and beyond
