I used to love it here. The good people who I used to work with have all left and I'm expected to do my own plus their work. I shouldn't be harassed on my time off to get things done for my manager that they have the time and ability to do. I honestly think I'm going to be let go every week.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We're all in it together. We all share the pain of being scolded for not getting things done on time.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I've been forced to learn a lot here, which is good. The reason behind the forced learning is that knowledgeable people are leaving and work still needs to get done.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
You need better leaders. People who understand and appreciate sacrifice for the company, not people who expect personal time to be given, as well as constant perfection. My manager has been aware that I've been burned out for over a year and I had to fight for a vacation.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
I don't work to work. I work to provide for my family. Time outside of working hours are my contribution to the company and you should be grateful. Some of this time is expected and for, but overtime all year long is a joke. Maybe get adequately staffed?
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I'm asked to do more than what I was hired for constantly. Constantly. You've got the wrong people in leadership roles and they expect their staff to just give all their personal time to "the cause". If I'm going to contribute my time, maybe I should be compensated for it.
