regular pay and 401k match combined with the profit sharing bonuses.
I feel pressured at work some times when some of the staff members are on the floor to work but busy distracted on their phone..and in the end we are getting the same compensation..
The payrate stuck even if u grow on different skills on every different area, the only way you get better compensate is getting promoted something like doenst happen really often. At this point if you know more than a suppervisor doesnt matter about pay rate cuz you are not promoted...
We are not able to retain good help
Rate of pay is well below industry standard. Also the fact that nearly everyone in events, present or not, receives commission except for AV on-callers, even when their work and technical ability both in set up and during the show enables the success of the show (from a technical standpoint).
The same position outside of he hotel pays double to triple more.

About half of my coworkers are great, while the other half have a toxic work ethic and subpar customer service skills.
We would have to offer better pay to attract better coworkers, and for the existing coworkers, we would have to implement structure and guidelines
Communication needs to be better.
I could work more easily with coworkers that had a strong work ethic, and that didn't always try to take the easy way out of things. I'm not saying that I'd prefer workaholics, just people that don't feel entitled, as well as people that care.

The most positive aspect of the culture and environment at my job is the strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork, where everyone is supportive, open to sharing ideas, and actively works together to achieve common goals, creating a positive and productive atmosphere.
