Not much no communication or quality training
everyone is great excepted the main manager at 1304
Seems like they're very helpful
They listen and involve all of us in improving our store.
Their responsive rate is high.
Better training and better positive reinforcement instead of coaching notes when you don't get enough rewards signups and credit applications
Treating employees with respect and making them feel valued
mentorship vs constant negative comments
Everything about the leadership need to get better
Managing. Delagating. And being resoectful to new workers during Christmas rush.
Everything and Everything that is completely
Not important to me at this time.
The salary was the best part.
Benefits start almost day 1
Hospital visits are $100 and cheaper than going to an office visit if you have a lot going on.
Michaels is consistently one of the lowest-paid retail establishments, especially for the amount of tasks we have to juggle and the very low staffing levels.

There needs to be enough hours from corporate to actually be able to do a decent job
You pay ceos but wont pay the people actually putting in work and wonder why there are turnover rates
If I thought anyone cared there it would be worth addressing.
I worked hard because I have that kind of drive and respect for my team leader Joe. The company doesn't pay well at all. Charleston SC. Is an expensive place to live. Trying to hire help at $9 an hour is a joke. W2 please. We all quit together...backroom Mgr, and team.
The only reason I've stayed (and this is echoed on most reviews I've read) are my co-workers. They try, they really try, but we're all burned out. But management doesn't care as they believe we're easily replaceable.

They are all very approachable and helpful
We stick together and get by against great reasons not to. We are all underpaid so we don't expect the world out of each other. Corporate is extremely out of touch with reality right now so we have to get by. Accommodating, kind, respectful for the most part. We help each other.
The different personalities and backgrounds
They're kind and fun to work with.
They need to be held accountable while at work and expected to complete tasks.
New employees don't get proper training and because the starting wage is so low they don't care to learn how to do their job
Any support would be great
Better communication and better help
Have better understanding with one another
Co-workers are the most positive thing. Most of the customers are OK. But we get our share of entitled Karens.

No Drama. We are all pretty much a team and easy to work with
Our local team. The culture is non-existent anymore but at least they pretend to care, the environment is what you make it. Mostly gray and hot.
Diversity is there and inclusion
Inclusion, our managers are the best.
Diversity and Retention need to be improved
The company needs to hire better staff. Interviews are only conducted within a span of 5 minutes
Need better management to better morale
Review from Sales Dept
It would be wonderful if they paid a decent wage to anyone not in high shool

The Store Manager at the time actually listened to me and cared
Social type meeting in a relaxed environment of the classroom. Back then working for Michaels was awesome. The sign on the door that said rated a great place to work was a standout memory that no longer exists
My store manager is excellent. Thats all
Manager was straight forward on their expectations
Review from Sales Dept
It was open and allowed for personal experience, rather than professional experience.
They are so desperate for employees, because the reputation and the low pay, you are guaranteed a job if you are breathing because its next to inpossible to get a job candidate in the first place, and the few that do inteeview usually quit within a week, and often within hours of the first day.
Review from Operations Dept
Be more available and actually have time to interview
Actually asking interview questions and my reasons for applying there. There were no questions asked when I applied.
Review from Product Dept
Better benefits and starting wage for someone with previous experience
Less on line forms . Increase one on one interaction.
My team and learning something new everyday.
My customers, receiving something they truly care about, back in a frame I assembled. They sometimes cry, I feel accomplished by doing meaningful things. That makes me happy.
Helping customers find what they need for their projects.
Completing tasks, seeing improvements in our work.
Working with or helping customers
Technology doesn't work. Not enough hours to staff the store comfortably. If you want information, you gotta find it yourself.
Pay and hiring management team. 2 people cannot run a happy store. Over worked and exhausted
There is no room for growth and we are not rewarded for hard work.
Better pay, better hours, better communicate about company problems (aka going bankrupt), high ups coming out of your offices and getting on the floor with staff for months at a time and see what we go through so you can have your fat paychecks.
Proper training, maybe not expecting 1 person to do 6 jobs at once and have a high quota to meet. I also think more than 1 head store manager and several MODS is ridiculous have the time the MODS don't have an answer and we all look stupid in front of customers.
Review from Sales Dept
I enjoy the product that we sell
Review from Sales Dept
that it is a creative environment
Company needs to improve their management above the store level, Major disconnect between the stores and corporate office
Review from Sales Dept
better coverage at the store level.
Pay rate
