I have been at Travelers for the last 2.5 years and have enjoyed my time there and found that they challenge me to improve myself. The company continues to prove they care for their employees.
What makes you most happy at work?
Knowing that we are helping people get through times of significant crisis.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We work well together and we are able to have good conversations about what is going on outside of work.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
As a new member they listen to my opinion and worked with me to make sure that there was a good balance between my work & personal life. They are extremely supportive in the areas that I like to work.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Best part is the Pension Plan and I feel extremely fortunate having that as part of the benefits program. Although not something I use but I would have loved when I was younger is the 401k matching plan for paying off student debt.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company is all about helping others whether that is through providing each employee a thousand dollars when they volunteer a 100 hours outside of work. They have started a new program that encourages employees to get involved in their community whether as board member or just a volunteer.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The conversations that I had with the managers and learning what made them happy at Travelers. Also that they understand you may not be the expert on a specific tool but as long as you are willing to put in the time to learn it they will still consider you.
