Q&A With TTEC Employees
As a global company, we’re always on. When one of us is going to bed, a coworker halfway around the world has already had their coffee (or tea) and is ready to grab the baton and run with it. We work at a fast pace around here and we’re not one for keeping the status quo. But just because we’re busy, it doesn’t mean we don’t know how to have fun! We’re passionate about throwing company events that bring us together to laugh and celebrate each other’s achievements. We’re also big on taking time out for professional development and giving back. So, if you’re looking for a work-life full of purpose, passion and career potential, come on over. We love making new friends.

What's the company culture like at TeleTech?
Top Employee Response
Type A personalities, political, workaholics...
The people I work with are great! However, the culture from the top down is one of chaos. There is no planning, and everything they decide to do they need immediately. There are unrealistic expectations for deadlines and you are expected to work 24/7 to accomplish these unreasonable deadlines. Everything is a rush project, and if something goes wrong there is finger pointing and they are never pointing to the people that are truly responsible.
Everyone is frightened no idea as per what quick training you will be enrolled into day by day lol
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at TeleTech?
Top Employee Response
Get rid of the bad management and offer better training. This was the worst experience of my life. I would never recommend this company.
Improve communication between management and staff. This is one of the worst companies to work for. In 6 months I went through at least 5 supervisors. There is no excuse for that. I had a supervisor that lied like she breathed. She claimed that I attended her group meetings but I never even knew when they were. She also said that we had one on one meetings which was not true either. Because she was friends with upper management she never was reprimanded for her actions.
1 dignity 2 Act as one with this pandemic to tell someone your hours will be changed with no pay boost not fair
How's the work life balance at TeleTech?
Top Employee Response
Wonderful, it gives us just enough time to recharge and be back to work again to face the daily grind of beating deadlines. My boss always reminds us to take a breather especially after beating high level project rushes.
No balance every month a new project to make sure you get no bonus so call P for P
For line staff, it varies. For anyone at the director level or higher, it's a daily exercise in pain and punishment...and this is expected and accepted as the norm.
What would cause you to leave your job at TeleTech?
Insufficient training
A job offer with better pay
OVer work and burning out. And when happy people starts leaving.
What do people at TeleTech think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Giving someone a raise will be delightful unemployment pays more
Positively. People within my department are good team players and very helpful. No big headaches. Very friendly and they are always ready to pick up the ball when needed. I think our company culture helps in having this kind of positive energy within our team. Improvement - i hope each site will have an open space work area where people can just work from any site without worrying if there are space available for them. More like a common work area or working hub.
The polls all paint a rosy picture, but insiders...if they were honest...would paint a very different storyboard. Ken is detached and has openly said everyone is replaceable...especially if it saves money.
How common is it to switch departments or teams at TeleTech?
Unfortunately, it is very common. I am on my 5th new team in three months and have not switched departments.
Common
Not common

Rarely in my department.
They don't have to layoff anyone...people leaving as soon as they are able.
How's the feedback proccess at TeleTech?
There isnt any
The executives are wonderful leaders. They listen and take actions accordingly.
Due to backstabbing and repercussions, feedback is a dangerous topic there.

Connect with the talent acquisition or hiring managers on social so they can see your thought leadership, interactions, etc.

Why? Not a recommended employer.
What's the office vibe like at TeleTech?
Less than 25% of the workforce actually go into an office....
It's generally fun at the contact centers with lots of teamwork and busy and focused at the corporate HQ
Very nasty. Team leads are not very nice at all and they constantly threaten the staff if they don't respond fast enough to their questions. So if you are on the phone with a client and don't respond they threaten you in chat.
What part of TeleTech's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Pocket are growing for some not for those who make the company great
The BPO business is the cash cow, but it is at risk due to technical alternatives (i.e. AI). I can't say I saw any aspect of the business that was "growing fast."
The company I was taking calls for was the worst. People were fired with no good reason. We had been forced to take MTO for almost a full month at a time. I don't know many people that can go without work for that long.
What does the leadership team at TeleTech need to get better at?
Top Employee Response
Stop threatening your team and work to improve team moral.
Trusting the professionals they hired do what they are best at.
Empathy. There are many issues happening within the operations teams and the leadership team is not focusing on improving the work environment or building strong teams
What do you wish you knew before starting at TTEC?
Top Employee Response
They don’t give raises. You are stuck at the salary you start at.
I honestly wish it was just ran better . The team leads are always extremely busy with an unbelievable amount of work to get done , which then gives them no time to look after their team . They're unreliable when you need them because they're always so busy .

Work ethics,
They asked me about experience, goals ND I had to submit to excersises/plans of action

An environment that is conducive to learning and at the same time provides ample space for privacy for each member.
old, closed cubicles
How's the morale at TeleTech?
The morale is good. Everybody is happy with their work.
Depends on the team and area. Management has many flaws
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining TeleTech?
the fun culture of learning and growth. If I had known this earlier. I could have been one of the first 100 employees of this company.
That promotions and career growth aren't as easy as they announce them, at least outside of the call center operations

Driven and goal oriented.
The ones that find work elsewhere...and the cronies in the EC that hang on despite their poor management
How secure do you feel at your job at TeleTech?
