Q&A With TTEC Employees
As a global company, we’re always on. When one of us is going to bed, a coworker halfway around the world has already had their coffee (or tea) and is ready to grab the baton and run with it. We work at a fast pace around here and we’re not one for keeping the status quo. But just because we’re busy, it doesn’t mean we don’t know how to have fun! We’re passionate about throwing company events that bring us together to laugh and celebrate each other’s achievements. We’re also big on taking time out for professional development and giving back. So, if you’re looking for a work-life full of purpose, passion and career potential, come on over. We love making new friends.

What's the best part of your job at TeleTech?
Nothing one of the worst company a I've ever worked for
My team
How challenged are you at TeleTech?
I'm not
Too vague of a question
How do you feel about going to work at TeleTech everyday?
Looing forward especially if there are challenging projects on my plate.
It's a sweat shop...very political, teleworking is great...but your work never ends, work life balance is a myth.
How does TeleTech make decisions around promotions?
Politics, key positions always recruited externally.
The only way to get a promotion is to change positions and even then you don't get a real promotion.
Does TeleTech have any remote positions?
Yes...50% of the workforce works remotely
Yes they do have remote positions. However, I would not recommend this company.
What's the interview process like at TeleTech?
It depends...mid-manager and above, deeply technical roles...all of these require multiple interviews over several days/weeks. Line staff have it much easier/simpler.
It was very easy.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at TeleTech?
I am a top performer at my company and would like to receive fair compensation for my contribution.
Higher pay, better benefits and more hours.
What needs to change to make the company culture better at TeleTech?
A talent retention program. The company needs to focus on the people that's already part of the team and not only in getting new hires. And audit all supervisors and managers periodically to avoid conflicts inside the teams
Stop leading by fear.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved at TeleTech?
My new team leader is threatening us on a daily basis. She does not give us encouragement in any way.
Negative, stressful environment with no planning. Slow down, do things that are well thought out and allow proper time for completion.
What is the best perk or benefit that TTEC offers?
Wellness time
What are the most important soft skills to be successful at TTEC?
Honestly just do your job ... be on the phones when expected , track your times properly by punching in and out
How are the career growth opportunities on the Customer Support team at TTEC?
I would have to say there hasn't been any . I've worked 5 different projects and no matter the experience I have or how hard I've worked I never seem to be able to move up from the agent role . I was able to become a chat coach for a couple projects helping agents in chat but not a promotion , i was still an agent . Also became a subject matter expert , which also helped agents in chat also was not a promotion , still an agent .. I am always over looked when it comes to a team lead position or trainer . It's very discouraging because I've recently ran a training class 100% better than the trainer , the class even said they learned more from me than her ... and I trained right along side them . I'm a very good agent , I'm good at what I do. I'm an extremely fast learner and for some reason I'm still completely over looked . There's much much more but not enough room here to speak on it
What are the differences between maternity and paternity leave at TTEC?
The leave policy is very out dated MD most managers have their own interpretation of the policy, check with Human Capital.
