Executives leadership is great, except they allow their people to be underpaid for their titles.

amazing how such a diverse group of people - even workling remote - perform so well
Everyone is approachable and leadership is always willing to hear new ideas allowing us to think outside the traditional boxes.
Product leadership struggles to deliver a cohesive vision that both ICs and Managers can identify with and truly believe in.
They are incredibly hard working and are more down to earth than you would expect. I like that communication flows freely here between all levels, but decisions are made using reporting lines. It keeps people accessible, but also there is some order as well.

Communication would be a great start, but honest communication. Do not blame a whole dept for something when the executives are doing the same thing and their information and actions is publically published
i feel compensated very well
Lots of PTO, great insurance and lifestyle spending account.
The health benefits include a lifestyle spending account

401k matching & pretty good health benefits
I am paid very competitively for what I do.
Review from Engineering Dept
On page 65 of their 10-K filling they discuss executive compensation and this is stated in there "target compensation at the 50th percentile of market levels, as measured by Payscales" This is not the target for regular employees and that leaves a very bad taste in employees doing above average work
Review from Engineering Dept
The company has lost all understanding of value of their employees over the last 4 years. Short of a major leadership overhaul with actual accountability theres nothing they can do as they have promised it all and not delivered yet.
Not having newer employees paid several thousands of dollars more than employees with more tenure.
Newer advisors are making 20-40% more than current ones. Not able to discuss this with management due to clause in contract. Please address this and adjust wages accordingly
Newer employees within the same position as me are getting paid 20-40% more than I am and stock promises never happened.
Great people that know their jobs well. They don't blame others, they are very professional.

high intelligence, fun to work with, let me have enough room
Everyone shares ideas and insight from their past experiences. We have a team with a varied background which makes brainstorming issues fun and productive.
The team members are always willing to help and work cooperatively
Review from Engineering Dept
The team I work under is small but tenured and great. Our manager is not but to be fair the managers at tucows except for a small 3 (and one whos sadly no longer with us) are yes men and women. Our team of under 15 knows this and thankfully runs well due to not involving ourselves with them if able

I've never felt like I couldn't request time with someone no matter what their title or department.
People are well meaning, and generally communicate quite effectively. We are remote first now so that can be challenging, but people are very consciencious.
Everyone works hard and that is great to be around. At the same time, there is a lot of flexibility if you need it. The company is also pretty progressive when it comes to diversity and inclusion and has ERGs to support different identity groups in the company that are funded to engage in events.

Work for home environment and adequate vacation days
People first approach and autonomy to departments.
Communcation, validation and recognition of not just managers who just report the people under them and their work. Leadership that is promoted due to more than friendships with VPs and executives or nepotisim. A return to the tucows they show you in your interview not what you get when you start
Communication needs to improve, better pay equity among roles, less finger-pointing and more transparent accountability.
They were more conversational rather than "tell me about a time when" type questions.
There is a lot of variety to experience with interviewing at Tucows. I had a great experience and I know others have too, but I think that some folks haven't and we can do more to make sure that we have more consistent processes in place for hiring.

Management were friendly and encouraging
Laid back which allowed me to be myself.
Structured approach to interviewing candidates. Avoids groupthink in assessing candidates.
Based on feedback from neighbours in the GTA around me , a lack of communication a lack of follow up a lack of answer as to whether they're hired or not going on months at times. So communication again needs to change. The people team and operations managers Have truly made our company look bad here
The people, hands down. Some of the best people I've ever worked with in my life.
Review from Engineering Dept
Collaboration and ability to build new things.
It feels like we're building something meaningful and are a very human business and company at the same time
Getting to improve the lives of people who work in Tucows Engineering.
Review from Engineering Dept
Not having to leave my house
