Verizon Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

Quick and easy. But as time has gone by the process has gotten more difficult.

Review from Sales Dept

the interviewer made me feel veery comfortable

Review from Engineering Dept

the questions were behavioral in nature

Communication around next steps in the process.

It was very transparent and I was given proper expectations on how to prepare for future interview rounds.

The interviewer takes the interview lightly

They are friendly and will offer assistance

Review from Operations Dept

I hate interviews but this virtual interview was good energy

The questions were asked based on my resume.

The positions for which I have applied have been straightforward one and done interviews. Other companies have had multiple tiers of interviews.

It was fast paced and extensive.

It was over a decade ago.

Met with a wide variety of people. Good feedback.

creative questions and unique multiple choicr

That at one point it was rigorous and that you had to make it thru three steps to be hired.

I only had 1 interview.

The fact all the lies theyve told have gone unchecked is harious

Most employees seemed to be adept to the job they were offered. The pretesting by the company helps to reduce getting employees that are "clueless" about what they're doing - or have difficulty learning their job.

Very laid back atmosphere and very friendly

It was an honest conversation with the interviewers to see if we had a mutual fit for the position and future career opportunities.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

There is a lack of communication during the process. There is a HUGE disconnect between the recruiter, hiring manager, and candidate. Negotiating salary is difficult. Constant under valuation of current employees and over valuing the outside candidates.

Focus on experience and positive attitude

Review from Operations Dept

More pay transparency and less red tape

I'm not aware with the interview process this at this time

I wiuld shorten the interview process

They need to take a class on how to interview. I asked more questions than they did.

They should disclose basic salary in the interview.

Easy as it can be

Don't let people that haven't done the job interview for the role and involve all whom are effected by the hire to be involved in the decision.

Review from Sales Dept

just make if fair and honest without bias

Review from Customer Support Dept

I interviewed many years ago, but there just wasn't a lot of communication about requirements and expectations at the time.

Review from Marketing Dept

Anyone with a brain would be nice.

Review from Finance Dept

Too many times I waste my time because they have someone they want in the job already. Don’t do interviews if you are giving it to someone else. Also please follow up after each intervie

Review from Marketing Dept

Lighten up. Phone interview, computer and ethics test and then personal interview in "STAR" is way too much. Makes one nervous enough to throw up.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I would make sure that those giving the best interviews actually get the promotion
