I've been in the same field for 10+ years, I've been at Zip for a little over a year and I am still consistently happy to be part of the team here. I do genuinely feel like I am helping businesses, I have a fantastic work/life balance (which unfortunately is not common for my position).

What are the team outings like at ZipRecruiter?
Always a delight! Employees are provided Uber codes in case they were drinking and can't drive home. Everyone is respectful, and the venues chosen are always nice and trendy.
How challenged are you at ZipRecruiter?
On a scale of 1 to 5, maybe a 3.5. I never get more than I can manage. Whenever I've been challenged here, I've built skills I can add to my resume and repertoire.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining ZipRecruiter?
How much traffic there is coming into Santa Monica! I love the location and wouldn't change it for the world, but it can get really awful sometimes.

Quite positive and quite high—sometimes people can be tired or have a lot to do, but generally happy to be there.
How much diversity is there among employees at ZipRecruiter?
Lots! People come from all walks of life, and there is diversity in regards to race, age, and sexual orientation, for instance.
How's the leadership on the HR team at ZipRecruiter?
Great! ZipRecruiter is rapidly growing (we doubled from 2016 to 2017), so HR is doing its best to accommodate all employees and are pretty quick with responses. Still lots of work to do, though.

Being part of a business that is growing so quickly. Succeeding is fun!

The pace is perfect. We're always pushing forward, but its rare that employees are asked to work outside normal hours.
