Competitive for what we do. There are options to be "Amazon leveled" which essentially just means you interview to see what position you would have if you were at Amazon and are compensated accordingly, though that leveling also comes with increased responsibilities on top of having too much to do.
Being treated like a human being rather than a replaceable resource/part. This shows loyalty & respect for our efforts to advance the cause of the company & gives us a reason to keep going. Sadly this happens less now with upper management trying to micromanage and pinch pennies, devastating morale.
Some in leadership have completely lost sight of the WFM culture and have become overly focused on performance metrics just for the sake of getting bigger bonuses and notoriety for themselves at the expense of the company culture and its people. This is now showing up in attrition rates and lay-offs
Our "Team Leaders" are great. Team Leaders are the real Leaders in our department and are an effective shield for those in their charge against their boss who tends to micromanage & focus on "saving money" instead of helping their teams do their jobs better. We couldn't do our jobs without them.
We've developed a culture of trust among our direct team members (the department as a whole much less so), we feel we can rely on each other, & aren't afraid to ask for help when we need it, or lean on them when things come up in our lives. Competent, relaxed, funny, trustworthy, & caring. Good team
