Whole Foods Market Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Store discount, new 401k match is very exciting!

Review from HR Dept

The 20% discount in stores

Review from HR Dept

Our 20% discount is pretty great.

Review from HR Dept

other insurances - life, std, ltd, etc.

Review from HR Dept

That I can afford to pay bills, feed my family and give to less fortunate...I am blessed

Review from Retail Dept

Review from HR Dept

Review from Operations Dept

Review from HR Dept

Overall compensation package is great

The amount of Paid time off!

Review from HR Dept

Added earning potential via bonus and stock.

Review from HR Dept

Decent options like other companies

Review from HR Dept

The ability to work remotely anywhere in a calendar year for 4 consecutive weeks.

Review from HR Dept

i love that we have BCBS. good for therapy.

Review from HR Dept

PWA Card - Paid for almost half of my surgery last year = )

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

To be honest I see offers and compensation. I have people starting in the same role as me making $8 more an hour.

Review from HR Dept

Better PTO policy, paid or floating holidays for level 3s, and 2 days in the office

Review from HR Dept

More competitive salaries and robust benefit packages.

Review from HR Dept

Being paid at a level other companies offer

Review from HR Dept

A clear intention from the company to improve and impact the lives of TMs. The raise structure is outdated, and starting salaries are lagging behind the rest of the job market.

Review from Retail Dept

WFM already knows this-they offer the worst benefits packages ever. I have worked for worst companies that at least offer better health ins, vision ins, dental ins, etc. I hope that the Comp/Ben Exec's one day have to actually use the insurance to see what they are putting their employees through.

Review from Operations Dept

Review wage scale for all positions. Adjust when the scope of the position changes and make adjustments.

Review from HR Dept

I feel I am doing the work of a Senior Analyst, but only have the title and pay of an Analyst. I would feel better if my Team Leader advocated more for me, instead of feeling like I have to initiate every new skill and opportunity for development. It would be nice to feel supported in my growth.

Review from HR Dept

we have practically no retirement fund, while others have robust 401 K matching programs. my salary is not comparable to the market. the RSUs are a good idea poorly executed. they say retention is priority but practically little is done to retain talent.

Review from HR Dept

We have no 401k and our health insurance is awful. Our pay compensation is not competitive. Our leaders are also not flexible on work location which drives away talent.

Review from HR Dept

More opportunities for promotion, better store discount, better health insurance, 401K improvements

Review from HR Dept

I would love if we had a better 401k match.

Review from HR Dept

Ive worked in several recruiting organizations and structures at diff companies. recruiters at WF do more work due to lack of tools and structure that most companies operate within. This is to be expected since we are a new dept at WF,but we do more work than we would elsewhere and are paid 20k less

Review from HR Dept

a fair increase to match my work contribution

Review from HR Dept

Matching 6% 401k contribution to encourage retention. Employee stock purchase program, with fractional shares awarded based on service hours.

Review from HR Dept

ROP is not competitive & the health benefits as well as 401k could be better.

Review from HR Dept

We need more benefits. Longer maternity leave is highest priority, but we also need 401K matching, more PTO

Review from Marketing Dept

Clearer communication about compensation raises to meet inflation; benefit package that includes more time off

Review from Business Development Dept

give adequate raises on top of a cost of living increase

Review from Product Dept

I did not receive frontloaded pto/Whole Foods does not recognize holidays.
