Mildly positive: culture has a good foundation but needs more action on it and less talk about it, compensation isn't the worst but could be better to help retention and satisfaction. For a company this size there is too much red tape as leaders want to be involved in every decision. Overall a B-

Everyone is very willing to acknowledge tough topics like racial inequality and give each other direct feedback which is nice.

They are very willing to take a stance on DEI topics, they have a good sense of what challenges IC's are facing, and they all seem very supportive of the company's mission.

Everyone is very willing to jump in and work on problems even if it's not "their job." However, this is also a necessity because our tools and processes are under-developed for the size of the company so, in order for the ship to run, people *must* jump in outside their scope.

Being underpaid means I spend time worrying about money. I feel bad when I see others who have worked here longer buy houses and generally have more money, whereas I am living paycheck to paycheck sometimes. Also, culture needs to be action not just words, so take action on culture faster.

For the tech industry I am underpaid and make less here than I made at my previous company. I have unique skills that make me more valuable that I feel are not factored into my compensation. 401k vesting also makes me feel un-trusted by the company. As it stands, I barely make enough to get by.
