If the company had the capabilities to gather all my previous feedback, it would be clear how drastic my point of view has changed regarding the company and would speak for itself. My passion is long gone. This as a job. Ill do what im told and stop carrying the burden of frustration outside of 9-5.
I started out overly optimistic because of everyhthing the company promotes and stands for. As the years have gone on, its became previlent that a lot of it does not mean anything. The realization has been brutal & has caused lots of stress, anxiety, sadness, anger and hopelessness.
My direct team is amazing. They all have positive attitudes, love what they do, are willing to learn, teach, grow and uplift one another. Going up the ladder is where things get muddy, values are completly skewed, and underappreciation is the norm.
The company as a whole has a vision I 110% belive in and why I stay. My specific department seems to not hold the same values as the company and have unfortunely quickly noticed my peers feel the same way for the past 6 months or so.
I do not feel heard or appreciated. I have consitstently brought up promotions/pay raises. What I am required to do fits a job description higher than mine however the department posted my position as a lower position although other seniors do the same (or less) than im required.
Real action that is going to make employees excited to work here. Its exhausting interacting with my coworkers when each time it turns into a conversation about how frustrated, burnt out and unappreciated everybody feels. Due to social media, we are more aware of what corporations actually value.
It seems as if the standard on my team is to work mostly outside of our job descriptions which is very confusing and unjust when it comes down to performance evaluations and promotions. The goals and values of the company appear to be completly opposite from my departments execuative leader.
My team is very positve, hard working, friendly and all around what keeps me going on the hardest days. Working from home most of the week, frustrations can build so when I get to see my team, it rejuvinates me and gives us all an outlet to relate to frustrations and support eachother.
Truthfully, as time has passed, I find it harder and harder to find positive things to say about FMB. I often say "my spark has been tainted". I was very optimistic and excited about working and growing at FMB. Now my evenings, breaks and weekends often accomanied by anger and anxiety due to work.
The company promotes overly optimistic material/ideas especially on monthly ERG calls however I dont actually feel the impact. Low pay has not yet been addressed in the current world we are living in. At the end of the day, no matter how work driven we are, we are all here to feed our families.
We are expected to operate and perform tasks for positions above us. Compensation does not reflect the work we are expected to do. The same positions on diffrent "teams" within the department do less and get paid the same or more. Inflation is at an all time high with no extra pay to offset.
