Lack of trust from Korean management, racially divided, gender divided, biased, and judgmental leadership. Biased performance reviews for non Koreans, wage gaps between Korean and non Korean, Lack of accountability for Koreans. Performance evaluated on commitment to the company not on merit.

I enjoy my job and performing the different functions. I would probably be happy doing my job anywhere I work. I enjoy my direct manager but wish higher up would see my value as he does.

Comparatively, I make about 40% less than the average person with my title in my town. Additionally, I am responsible for 4 times the responsibilities. I manage 33 different functions where as the average person in my role does 10 at most

Qu’est-ce que vos collègues doivent améliorer et comment pouvez-vous mieux travailler ensemble?

Everyone is internally focused. Coworkers hold on to tasks and not share how they are completed in hopes that they are less replaceable. There is no trust in either direction of our organization. Trust needs to be built at the executive level.

A fair performance evaluation system, remove all FSE's from leadership positions. Promote within at local markets. stop challenging just to challenge (shows incompetency). Immediately review all pay for all positions in LG by market and be at the high end because other opportunities are available.

I see job postings all the time in my market that pay 40% more than what I am paid and only have about half the responsibilities. No leader in this entire organization will stand up to their leaders to fight for equality for their employees. Pathetic leadership

Knowing the value of their employees. All of the executive leadership in this company are Koreans and most do not speak or clearly communicate in English. Many emails and reports are not understandable because they are in Korean. Their values are different and leadership style is to challenge.

Trust, lose the superiority complex, invest in their teams, hire leaders within instead of replacing leaders every 3 years with the FSE program, Create opportunities and flexibility for employees instead of demanding entire department be on site while all of LG is work from home (LGEAI FO Dept.)

Qu’est-ce qui est le plus positif à propos de la culture et de l’environnement de votre entreprise?

The ability to learn about other cultures and a diverse work force. Learning that there is two sets of policies, one that applies to Koreans (unwritten) and one that applies to non Koreans (Written and communicated). As a veteran there is this hierarchal attitude in the culture that is familiar.

Remove bilingual positions and open it up to everyone, every Korean learns English in school so if they don't speak English then maybe they aren't very well educated and have no place in this business. Leadership needs to hold all people equally accountable instead of giving free passes to korean's

There is no Co-Work, Non Koreans have witnessed annual lay offs and that drives non Americans to hold on to processes and not share them in fear of being laid off. Koreans will just provide the process for doing something instead of doing it even when its something their are responsible for.

Pourquoi vous sentez-vous sous-évalué et qu’est-ce qui vous rassurerait par rapport à votre rémunération?

I hear the argument a lot that LG gets by with lower pay rates because they provide free healthcare. Well I am covered under full health care from the VA as a veteran and have no need for the free healthcare. I would rather be compensated fairly. Other jobs with same title pay 30-40% more than mine.
