Most people understand that although HQ IT systems, policies and tools regularly cripple employee productivity, they will continue to try in spite of this.
My immediate coworkers do everything they can to make LG succeed in spite of LG's shockingly complex financial systems and cripplingly restrictive IT policies, systems and tools.
1. Leading. 2. Providing Priorities. 3. Listening to local US employees and following our recommendations. 4. Telling HQ when its IT policies and systems are destroying our business. 5. Alllowing US teams to pick IT systems locally.
Stop giving crap tools to the employees (e.g., garbage homemade Email, worse homemade "Calendar" and unbelievably restrictive upload policies that destroy productivity. It's like the executive team and Info Security team both work for Samsung and are trying to destroy our productivity every day.
The ridiculous homemade HQ "Email," "Calendar," Webex instance and the outdated MS Office version are a complete shitshow. Both LG's customers and our competitors REGULARLY laugh at us when they hear how we can't perform basic work tasks. Convert everyone to MS Office 365 Online and Zoom immediately
1. Fire the entire Info Security team and outsource it. 2. Fire any executives who support the homemade Email/"Calendar" and switch to Outlook365 via browser immediately. 3. Change PC leases from 5 years to 3. 4. Hire 70% more Lawyers to help review the ridiculous substantiation they want to require
