TRAIN THE MANAGERS IN TEAMWORK AND EQUITY
I know that I'm valued by guests because I'm good at my job. It's the only place I know others see my worth
The manager who interview me was my boss day-to-day. That was excellent. I had great conversations and all my questions were answered. The discrepancy with pay discussed was my only problem
Most nonmanagment staff are some of the most experienced and talented people in a hotel. We bond together in solidarity over being treated poorly but also because most of us are the same caliber employee. We work hard and together out of mutual respect
Listen to the small issues of employees and then fix them. A few inconvenient problems unaddressed can cause turnover. Your attitude matters. If I'm coming to you saying what I need out of my workplace, don't get defensive. It's us against the problem not each other to serve guests
