Overall I am satisfied. As a manager, there is a morale problem within our teams. We get asked for more with no way to get it done well and it is never fast enough. We spend hours prioritizing work that cannot be accomplished well in the expected timeframes. Our teams want to do good work.
I am neutral on my experience. Manager is great at providing negative feedback or what went wrong but is limited on any positive feedback. We spend an inordinate amount of time prepping for meetings to communicate up.
My team and the challenges each day
remote work flexibility is best attribute
The ability to earn bonus and the unlimited PTO.
Interacting with team and peers
The flexibility to work from anywhere and accessibility to the executive team.
People tend to collaborate and be helpful. We want each other to succeed.
Everyone is pulling together, and it is great to see the team overcome and deliver despite obstacles.
The transparency has really improved, and I appreciate the efforts to clarify goals and vision across the company.
Recognition for a job well done and the support of my team in achieving our goals. I have deep respect for the team.
This is a high-performing team with a great deal of commitment to seeing Newfold succeed. The team works well together and has the dedication to achieve great things quickly.
I think it is a difficult culture, but we do have the tools to stay connected. The pressure to do more for less is draining and results in having to redo many things due to bugs.
unlimited PTO although I don't feel comfortable using it when my manager consistently is working while on PTO and has the expectation we'll be reachable. It's a bad example to set. People should be able to disconnect.
It is a standard comp package that is fair. It's more heavily weighted to base comp vs performance based comp than I am used to, but the company has been evolving as it works through a post merger integration.
This is a diverse team of leaders who work together well and I believe really like each other which makes it really easy to get things accomplished. This translates into a culture of people who work together to do great things.
Objectives wildly swing, amount of work expected to be completed simultaneously in short windows is difficult to do well. Exec team knows what they want and isn't clear in expectations resulting in many iterations to get to the solution they want. Just be clear and it will save time.
