I enjoy interacting with the residents, and helping them stay on track; however, some of the employees make the work environment difficult and/or uncomfortable.
Assessing existing employees; specifically their performance and heir guidance of others.
I refer back to the supervisor interaction (more specifically) the lack thereof.
Serious lack of communication at all levels, and employees need to stop just thinking about themselves.
I consider their approach to their interaction with the residents (and sometime, fellow employees (reports) seriously lacking.
The people hired need to have a better understanding of the work environment, and accept responsibility for there actions.
Some of the people that they hire need to be screened differently, and more importantly, they need to "Grow UP" !
There seems to be no valid feedback on performance at the beginning (and into the first few months) of your employment.
I feel that there is a great deal of responsibility that falls in the lap of a lead, but it is not reflected in the wages.; as mentioned previously.
Communication with staff, Dealing with situations from a neutral position, Putting more separation between RM's and LRM's where wages are concerned; LRM's have a great deal of responsibility with a small separation.
This is strictly personal opinion/perception, but I believe that there are people in lead/supervisory positions that do not know how to lead, and are seriously lacking in their ability to provide a solid foundation to others for a carreer with GEO. ere
