Fanatics: Fanatics is a growing company in the midst of a transition from a start-up to a Fortune 500-type of company. This comes with pros and cons, but overall growth is very positive. I believe that if you are willing to invest in yourself, work hard and deliver results, you can succeed at Fanatics.
Fanatics: I have been here since graduating school. I have learned a lot in my first few years. Now I am coming to 4 years at the company and my later 20s looking for a career. Im not sure if im seeing it here at Fanatics. I love coming into the office. We could use more regular meetings & an HR team here
Fanatics: At first my experience was great but this past year it has plateaued. I would recommend this job for someone fresh out of college but not for someone that is looking for a challenge or professional development.

Fanatics: A lot of my job was primarily break fix. Now a lot of my time is spent working on developmental projects. Operations seems to think I do nothing and treats me as such, nevermind I fix all their problems quickly and efficiently

Marshall Retail Group: The part that I liked the most was that. The interviewer was very down to earth, and did not ask you the very generic interview questions you typically hear. What the interviewer did was get to know you as a person and ask you behavior questions which can show how you do or do not handle issues.

Fanatics: I came to Fanatics at a crossroads in my life. It was my saving grace. I was able to balance my work life and my homelife with the support of my leadership team. My resilience in establishing a strong work ethic proved to be an integral part to my team. Nothing but positively "FAN-tastic"!

Fanatics: I do like working in fanatics, especially on Cloud team. People are nice and knowledgeable. They are all willing to help and share. However, the career path in fanatics is not clear. There's no standard for it as well. I feel a bit disappointed about my promotion and compensation.
Fanatics: I'm a remote employee to the Boulder Tech center. So my days are spent mostly developing code and interfacing with team members via Slack or Bluejeans. I visit the Boulder office for a week every 4 -6 weeks. So I do get some face to face time with the team and participate in team social events.

I have not had a performance evaluation in almost 18 months. My direct manager lives in fear of their VP and that will not change until the VP leaves

Fanatics: You went up the ramp to the highway and get stuck in the right lane behind a huge semi. Everyone is passing you by, especially the cars that got on the highway long after you. And you just sit there and watch life go you by as you're stuck and blocked.
Fanatics: I think there are many individuals that would want to trade places with me and have an opportunity to work at Fanatics. The issue is that Management knows that and treats most employees like they are replaceable. It would be nice to feel valued - instead of looked at like worker bees.
Fanatics: I have enjoyed my time at fanatics. It has been a great experience for both my family and I.
Fanatics: As a whole, my experience is good. But I think individual experience is determined by the department and team you work under and where that team is located. As a team member based outside of Tampa I feel that we are often an after thought to the executive leadership team.

I've also had many coworkers leave without having something else lined up because they are so tired which is very concerning.

Fanatics: I have been at Fanatics 7 yr on March 6th. I was one of the 1st 50 employees to start in this facility here in Ohio. I have worked in several areas of the company and feel they have all been good areas. As a whole I feel Fanatics is a great company and I'm happy to still be apart of it.
Fanatics: I have been with the company for over seven years and through the Mounted Memories acquisition. Overall, I feel, especially lately, that things are slowly beginning to turn in a more positive direction. Overall, communication remains one of the biggest challenges company-wide.

Fanatics: i believe that our job title is not technically what our actual job function is and because of that we are an hourly paid employee. I think they need to redefine the job title to more accurately define our function... and pay accordingly.
Fanatics: All the opportunity for advancement has been at the top or the very bottom. Those in the middle are stuck and those at the bottom are promoted not when they're ready, but when they hit a work anniversary. Our president once said everyone is replaceable, which is how everyone feels.
Fanatics: My job values want me to improve any way I can anything I can at my job and tasks that I can be helpful in. I see many jobs here that are not really linked together (data wise) or challenged to be better. We should be always looking to find ways to improve - perhaps internal task force?
Fanatics: Make work life balance feasible. When I go on vacation or take any time off I have to bring my laptop with me as I always end up having to work. Yet when It's a normal week very rarely do managers actually encourage or partake in working from home unless absolutely needed. Same goes for using DTO.
Fanatics: Overall my experience with this company in my almost 13 years is it appears to be about who you know not always what you know.

However, she was let go and new leadership took over. Now I feel like I am in the same environment as before.
Fanatics: Overall, the experience has been positive. The issues typically stem from new management coming in with thoughts and plans that do not work for the company, trying to change it and then feeling the fallout when it doesn't work,

Fanatics: Fanatics has a misconception that all Managers are Leaders. This is very far from the truth as not all managers should even hold this positon. There needs to be a way for the actual workers to grade their managers as some really should be fired.

Fanatics: Overall I am a satisfied employee. I feel that changes could be made in some areas. I am proud to work here but also have concerns for job security. I don't feel like my current leadership follows the moral of the company which makes for a negative work environment.

Management rather entertain small issues like eye rolling,etc. But won't address major issues (eating on the floor,not working) with the very ones complaining.

Fanatics: I joined the company at a more junior level than I was qualified for just so I could get in. I am finding it challenging to move up and get promoted, but there seems to be a plan in place. The benefits make my lower salary worth while.

Fanatics: I live in a constant state of "fight or flight." Everything is labeled as "urgent" or "emergency" here, so I never get my actual work done since I'm always being asked to stop and deal with those issues. No one respects each others' time and schedules pointless meetings or interrupts my work.
Fanatics: Joining Fanatics in 2018 was a breath of a fresh air. As of 2020, that feeling hasn't changed. I'm at ease knowing I have a supportive Director and SVP, supportive cross functional teams, and excited (and nervous) to see challenging new projects for my role that I'm proud to take on.
Fanatics: They work together to try and push what's right for the company overall at the top level. They are making changes in order to set this company up for success.

Fanatics: Leadership needs to align better with all areas of Merchandising. A more in depth understanding of MTO is recommended. It has been alienating with the recent reorg.

Fanatics: I couldn't ask to work for a better company from management to understanding to benefits. It's the best company I've ever worked at.

Fanatics: Their openness, transparency, and overall "realness". They learn your name and take the time to get to know who you are as a person.
Fanatics: Salary is good. Bonus structure isn't great.

Fanatics: There are people who can be trusted that came from majestic, but there aren't many. I have seen very talented people get fired because their majestic managers were challenged by their talent and capabilities. This I hate. Otherwise, my manager is excellent to work for.
Fanatics: Its been chaos from the jump. My training for my position was subpar and not even 2 weeks long. Everything about the production artist position feels chaotic
Fanatics: DTO is the best part
Fanatics: They listen to feedback, even negative feedback, and address it directly. They are present and engage with the teams
