While my company is not perfect there are a lot of great things that make me happy to work here. Despite the challenges we experience with clients, processes, and scaling, I very much like and even at times love working at SPS.
The pace of growth is exciting, but the training and onboarding is not there yet to actually be able to hire a ton of people at once and get them integrated and useful in a decent period of time. The sales pipeline is very intense now and some of the benefits of the culture are waning due volume
Interacting with coworkers makes me the most happy at work
The compensation package is competitive with other leading organizations out there.
We help each other when we are struggling and we are truly a team
Getting a task done and interacting with coworkers to do it makes me the happiest!
My healthcare is good and I haven't had any issues with getting the care I need with the coverage I have
Overall, the team is still fairly easy going and they have a solid direction on where they would like to go generally speaking
I think the effort to improve with diversity initiatives is admirable. The culture attempts to be inclusive in many ways which I appreciate.
My current team communicates very well and we can usually get in alignment. They are also motivated individuals who want to be best for the clients
While there can be some improvement on maternity/paternity leave, overall our health insurance is very good, the time off is great as well, and the HR team works to get feedback and improve every year.
The leadership team listens to me and makes changes based on how I need to do my job most effectively. They not only seem to care emotionally about me but are able to implement practical solutions.
My company has employees that have a work hard mentality and are humble. Managers are willing to take feedback. We all seem to be focused on our goals without beating each other up over things which is awesome
I like that they are relaxed but if something happens that involves seriousness they show me that they are on my side. My managers communicate clearly and effectively as well and I have no problem going to them if I have problems!
The team itself is honest, hard-working, and very accommodating/helpful in my learning journey. I could literally pull anyone to help me with something and they are happy to do so. The collaboration is probably the best I have seen in my career so far!
The coworkers at SPS are my favorite part of working here. Each one of us takes time to help one another and we care a lot about each other. Coworkers actually are cool enough to hang out with outside of work too which is not always common for Minnesota!
There isn't enough structure in the day to day and I am needing to do a lot more heavy lifts for my coworkers. I feel the company's mindset is still a bit stuck in a small company flexing mindset when the sales are way too much to not introduce repeatable structure
