Based on my experiences thus far the Education team that I work on is overall a group who presents as committed to the department goals and the overall mission of providing quality educational programming and services to incarcerated individuals.

With only a few weeks experience with GEO I have not had much experience with our leadership team. I am hopefully optimistic about my new role, our leadership and the organization as a whole. My initial experience thus far has been positive.

I believe that my salary is fair and appropriate based on current market conditions. For the area, Hobbs, NM, GEO provides better salary and salary ranges than other professional level employment opportunities that I was offered prior to accepting my position at GEO.

I have found that for the most part staff are approachable, receptive and willing to be supportive of a new staff member, willing to coach and train and offer assistance when needed. Most staff members display positive attitudes and treat other with courtesy.

I am in the training and learning phase of my role. I look forward to gaining confidence in my role as I gain greater understanding of the roles / duties / tasks for which I am to responsible for. I look forward to growing in my role and becoming proficient and independent in my responsibilities.
