Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

To be frank, I'm the person everyone goes t when they need something, help, advice, support, coverage for a project. I've worked hard to say no in the last year and since then, no one talks to me. I want to be involved more, but there's zero recognition

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

Started as a contractor. Made moves to progress and was repeatedly turned over for roles so the same person could get the advancements despite never being here. Applied for a new role at ND and was professionally sabotaged by the same person. Now I just do my work and don't speak with anyone else

What are some of the best things about your team?

Always ready to help one another out

What makes you most happy at work?

Feeling like I'm doing something that will make a benefit to someone's day.

What are some of the best things about your team?

We are there for one another. We understand the struggles of being a small international team and will always support one another with our ever increasing and demanding workloads

What are some of the best things about your team?

We help each other with every issue, every task and generally provide a great support network to one another when we're feeling burnt out and mentally low. I continue to work for and love Nextdoor because of them

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

From my last review I recieved a 1.2% (I think) pay increase which does not match current competitor salary for my job title. Combine this with the fact that I am completing tasks at a community manager level, then I am salary wise, incredibly undervalued and compensated

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

INTL teams are spread thin in some areas and when someone leaves we do not get replacements or maternity cover thus having to take on those people's workloads more and more without compensation and without consideration to what that would do to workload and mental workload (aka. burnout)

What are some of the best things about your team?

The entirety of the UK team is approachable, and including fellow EU teams who I interact with as well. We create a supportive environment where no answer is a wrong answer. I feel welcomed and heard when I express opinions which I haven't had in other work places or teams

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

At the recent review cycle I was given a pay increase, while it was a considerable increase it was below the research I had done and when asked, my manager outrightly told me it's below the average for my location and being with tech. Pay people what they are worth!

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

In a nutshell, I feel overworked and undervalued. With colleagues taking time off / leaving, my workload increased. With limited resources being added sporadically and a culture where saying 'no' is a bad word in such a small team, it's hard to split the workload so I feel stretched, a lot.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I love how dedicated everyone at the company is to Nextdoor. I love our mission, our goals and I love the communities we support. If ever I were given an opportunity to expand, I would want to step into more of a Community focused position with efforts of getting neighbours together more

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

I need a shift in roles and responsibilities. I was looking for that, and at the last stage of internal interviews the role was completely changed so I no longer had relevant skills or interest in that role. Absolutely gutted that the feedback recieved was t just 'sit and wait' for something else
