It's definitely gotten better through the years. The people are great and the work can be quite fun and rewarding at times but progress is slow.

At least match average Illinois salaries (currently under by almost $15,000). Ideally offer more competitive compensation. Or take a page out of Dan Price and make everyone's minimum wage $70,000.

Re-evaluating salaries. Creating the processes for better work-life balance. (More flexibility in schedules would be a start. Perhaps also considering a shorter workweek which has led many companies to greater success.)
