Sunnova is a good place to work if you want to work in renewable energy, at a company growing and exploring international expansion, and be able to work remotely. But, it isn't if you are looking for pay on par with the oil & gas industry and clear career growth opportunities.
No raise since first started (almost 4 years)
They have clear direction on where the company should go
They have a strong and clear vision of where we should go as a company and what we present as a company.
Leadership has a good sense of direction of where the company should be headed & the department I'm allows working remote full-time
Great teamwork (we make sure to cover each other's desk if needed even if we have to work longer hours) & good personalities
Getting to work from home full time, knowing in the offhand chance I have family emergencies my bosses are understanding & my coworkers
The company is in the renewable energy industry and expanding internationally. You get see how a company grows and adapts from pre IPO and within a growing industry.
It is just work at this point. Some days it can be exciting, some days it can be stressful and some days it can be boring. As to improvement, better accounting systems/software to eliminate some, if not most, of the manual process.
My coworkers are good to work with and will cover each other's desk when needed. Management is understanding if we have to take day/s off for unforeseen events even if it's during a busy time and allows us to fully work remote.
There was no salary increase for 4 years. I finally brought up the issue to my manager after 4 years, only then did I get a raise. But, it isn't enough to offset the lack of raises in the past years. With the company continuing to grow and increasing hiring, salary shouldn't go stagnant.
