While Sunnova is a solid company with a lot of growth potential, I believe there are numerous internal barriers to achieve true success. Some executives prefer political finger pointing and "lipstick on a pig" to owning what we need to work on and laying down a clear, roadmapped vision for success.
Great industry and company shows promise, but internally, the marketing department needs a ton of work. Many of us know what it takes to do well, but innovation and creativity are stifled by corporate bloat and obstacle-ridden processes.
They push you to do great work.
My base salary and annual bonus.
My salary and generous PTO
No synergy amongst remote workers.
They're smart and talented, but directionless when it comes to my department (marketing).
There is no discernible company culture amongst remote workers in the marketing department.
Work cohesively and are small enough that we can act nimbly and efficiently.
Lack of culture, good work and creativity stifled (primarily by legal) and finger-pointing at the VP level
The salary is good, but the health insurance premium and deductible is too high compared to previous employers.
There is so much potential, and my team and I know what it takes to reach it. However, there are a number of hurdles to overcome.
Working remotely on the marketing team, there seems to be a distinct lack of defined culture. There is not a lot of fun to be had.
We have goals, but no clear vision to achieve them. Other departments also have conflicting goals (legal vs. marketing), making it a battle to win out — an unsustainable work model. There is also no dis
Mine is a team within a team, so we're a bit on the smaller end, which makes getting to know and engage with each other much easier. We are a true team and show up to support each other every day.
While my immediate team is great, other teams work in silos - making it tough to collaborate. There is also a lack of culture for remote workers, and no opportunities to visit the Houston HQ. Would be nice to be able to go to a Town Hall or holiday party in person.
As a remote worker, I have not noticed any discernible culture or environment at Sunnova. Even the Quarterly Town Halls seem to be geared toward people working in the office. Would be nice if remote workers got $10-15 to get lunch during those events, at the same time lunch is provided to HQ people.
