What makes you most happy at work?

Being able to contribute to the development and improvement of what we do here at Ambry.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Everyone is very respectful and engaging. I would argue Ambry is best in class when it comes to hiring and identifying people who "fit" our culture.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Very laid back environment, you are not micromanaged but held accountable to complete your tasks assigned in a professional and timely manner. People are all focused on betterment.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They're compassionate and take the time to listen. I know that they are not able to answer and solve everything, but they make it a point to listen and that matters most.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

At this stage, there is nothing other than the direct people I work with as well as the patient care we provide. There is no culture or ambiance that can make coming in here worthwhile.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Listen. No politics. No bias. Please keep in mind that there are individuals who will use your ear for their own benefit rather than the greater group's. Be cautious of anyone who stands to profit from doing business with you.

What are some of the best things about your team?

They are eager to make the necessary sacrifices in order for us to provide our best effort to the patient. I'm overjoyed to report that the individuals here are what makes working at Ambry exceptional. All bright, open-minded, and collaborative people.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The laboratory environment has long lacked appreciation. Losing great talent to our rivals and being told attrition is OK isn't enough. As a Manager, you desire to be able to retain and attract excellent individuals, not the other way around. The lack of culture and division is really apparent.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Frequency of check-ins at my/our level hasn't been the greatest, I do understand given the pandemic, but I have taken the initiative to take on more than what is required of me and I understood that compensation would not come with that package. I do what is required because I love what I do.
